Amateur Astronomy Club
The Amateur Astronomy Club, the oldest and most active at NITK Surathkal, has long nurtured curiosity about the cosmos. Through stargazing nights, science tours, projects, and flagship events like Astrofest, the club makes astronomy engaging and accessible. With three telescopes and four SIGs—Astronomy, Astrophysics, Astronautics, and Astroverse—we offer students hands-on exploration, learning, and discovery under the stars.

Starry Nights
Starry Nights, our signature open-sky event, lets students witness the universe firsthand through guided stargazing, telescope viewings, and interactive discussions—where curiosity meets wonder under the stars.
Astro Committee
The AstroCommittee, one of NITK’s three official fest committees, brings the cosmos to Incident and Engineer. As a part of AAC, we curate shows, exhibits, and telescopic sessions, making space exploration an exciting part of the fest atmosphere.
Sci-Tutor
Our science tours take learning beyond campus, with visits to observatories, research centers, and space facilities. They offer hands-on exposure to cutting-edge science and inspire a deeper connection to the future of space exploration.
